Hibernation mode activated.....
With covid affecting many aspects of our lives, one big area on children that’s been affected is their activity level. Many indoor sports and indoor activities have been shut down or the comfort level isn’t there yet to send your child. This doesn’t mean that you can’t be doing things with your child inside or outside, weather permitting.
Some ideas.....
Do a zoom class (maybe it’s your dance academy doing it, a workout class, etc)
If you have a treadmill, exercise bike, etc, they can use it.
They have “smart” balls now for soccer and basketball that you can do activities inside your house.
Set up a soccer net inside your house or use soccer cones to do drills to help maintain some form of activities.
If weather is tolerable, go for a walk, go on a bike ride or go to your local track.
Have a catch outside, play soccer, or shoot some hoops if there is no snow on the ground.
If it's snowing, build a snowman, go sledding or do something fun.
Just because it’s winter or things are cancelled, doesn’t mean the activity level should be hibernating. Stay active. Very important physically and even moreso mentally as well.
